These answers explain how our services work. Your proposal confirms the services, deliverables and terms for your particular assignment.
Who is Source With Trust for?
We support overseas buyers who need independent information or on-ground assistance when dealing with suppliers in India. You may be assessing a shortlisted supplier or seeking clarity about an existing order.
Are you a supplier or a buying agent?
We do not sell the products or represent the supplier. Our core role is independent buyer-side verification and agreed support, paid for by the buyer.
Can you check a supplier I have already found?
Yes. Assessing suppliers that buyers have shortlisted or already use is central to our work. Share the supplier’s details, location and the questions you need examined.
Can you find suppliers for me?
Our main focus is verification and buyer support. Limited preliminary identification assistance may be discussed, but it should not be assumed to be a full supplier-search or commission-based sourcing service.
Can you establish whether a company manufactures or trades?
We can agree checks to examine the company’s stated role and its relationship with the production facility. The findings depend on the evidence and access available; we explain unresolved points.
Does every assignment include a factory visit?
No. The method depends on the agreed questions. A factory visit, document review and product inspection are distinct activities and are included only where agreed.
Can you inspect quality or packaging?
Yes, these can form part of an agreed assignment. Product specifications, inspection stage, reference samples where relevant and packaging requirements need to be clear. Do not assume every piece will be inspected unless that scope is expressly agreed.
Can you check certificates or arrange testing?
We can discuss reviewing relevant certificate claims and coordinating testing through an independent accredited laboratory where required. We do not issue certifications ourselves. Testing arrangements and costs must be agreed.
What will I receive after the work?
Your proposal defines the deliverables. Depending on the assignment, reporting may include observations, relevant photographs, document findings, concerns and unresolved questions. The agreed scope determines the report’s coverage.
How are your charges decided?
Fees depend on the services selected, locations and scope or depth of work. We prepare a quotation after understanding your requirement. There is no single standard fee that fits every assignment.
Do you earn a supplier commission?
No. We work for an agreed buyer-paid service fee. We do not charge a percentage of the purchase order or add a hidden product margin.
Are travel and accommodation included?
Work involving travel outside our base may involve separate expenses. The proposal should clarify what is included and what additional costs are agreed before the work begins.
How long does an assignment take?
Timing depends on the work, locations, document availability and access arrangements. We discuss a suitable schedule when defining the scope. Tell us early if a decision or shipment deadline is involved.
When is payment due?
The written proposal sets out the upfront payment and any balance applicable to your assignment. Review those terms before confirming the work.
Do you arrange freight or help after dispatch?
Logistics coordination with your nominated parties and post-dispatch assistance may be agreed. We are not a freight forwarder. Explain the support you need so responsibilities are clear.
Does verification guarantee a safe transaction?
No verification can guarantee future supplier performance. Our work helps you understand the findings and limitations of the agreed checks so you can make a better-informed decision.
How do I start?
